Took delivery of my Ferrari 308 GT4

After twenty years of fiddling with old Italian cars I decided to move upwards and into the world of classic Ferraris. It had to be a Bertone designed car to compliment my love of the Fiat X1/9, Lancia Stratos and Lamborghini Countach and the only one Ferrari made was the Dino 308 GT4. What a stunning car!

After looking for a while I decided on a relatively local one and finally took delivery of my 1977 Rosso/Rosso restored GT4 from Nick Cartwright. It was so cool to see the covered trailer pull up on that cold and clear winters evening in November 2006.
After reviewing the cars history in more detail over a bottle of wine the night it arrived I found bills totalling £38,000 for restoration and repairs/improvements over a ten year period. Wow, I didn't spend anything like that buying the car, although it wasn't a cheap one.
I chose this particular car for the red leather interior amongst other things. Originally a silver car from the factory, the colour was changed during the restoration in the 90's - I think for the better. The car was also fitted with 17" Ferrari style wheels from Superformance.
